Add a prayer for peace on earth around the Advent wreath each day, remembering especially those enduring war, oppression or famine.

Create an Advent calendar that offers suggestions to do a daily act of kindness for your family members, coworkers, friends or classmates.

Mail Prisoners

Contact your local jail or a nearby prison to see if you can mail Christmas cookies or cards to inmates incarcerated during the holidays.

Share the Christmas story with your followers on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. You may reach someone who has never heard the Gospel before.

Advent Traditions

Invite friends, neighbors or co-workers, who are living alone, and share your family's Advent traditions with them throughout the season.

Visit Elderly

Volunteer to string outdoor Christmas lights or sing carols to bring joy to the elderly of your parish or residents at a local retirement center.

Adopt a Family

Adopt a child or family through a social service agency in your area for Christmas, or give through Catholic Relief Services' Gift of Hope Tree.

Encounter Scripture

Meditate on the power of the Christmas story as you await the coming of the Lord through this Advent study from Little Rock Scripture Study.

Time With Jesus

If you don't have an adoration hour each week, sign up for one during Advent and grow your relationship with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Join St. Nicholas

Partner with St. Nicholas in giving to the poor this Christmas by supporting the ministry of your choice through Catholic Charities of Arkansas.

Examine Prejudice

Study Bishop Taylor's Advent Guide about the human rights of immigrants or read the U.S. bishops' pastoral letter against racism.

Help Moms in Need

Help a couple adopt a baby by donating toward the cost, or serve a mom in need by giving baby items to a pregnancy resource center.

Organize Fundraiser

Help this year's One Church: Unite Arkansas in Faith and Mission partner reach its goal by putting together a fundraiser in your parish.

Pray for Vocations

Pray daily for young men and women in the Diocese of Little Rock to overcome their fears and discern a vocation to the priesthood or religious life.

Adopt a seminarian to pray for daily, make a donation toward tuition or contact the Vocations Office to mail a care package to the House of Formation.

Receive Wisdom

Spend time with a grandparent or elderly neighbor to receive #aGiftOfWisdom and exercise it your family, at work, church or on social media.
