We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you. Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Jesus went to the borrowed tomb innocent and without protest. The suffering, the betrayal, the torture are swallowed in the darkness. Where is everyone? Where would I be? All is quiet. Jesus, I am sorry. We wait. Jesus, teach me how to be patient and wait for what you have planned for me. Help me reach out to those who suffer and are alone in their darkness. Forgive me, Lord, for failing to recognize what a precious gift all of life is. Forgive me for taking life for granted. Please grant me the grace to forgive those who hurt me by following your walk to Calvary and by your holy example. Help me recognize my crosses with joy, because when I accept my cross I am united to you. All is quiet. Alone in the sepulcher I know I am in your heart. Help me take your love and light up the darkness of this world. I know you will not abandon me.

The story does not end here.
