Is God Calling You to Become a Priest?

The Office of Vocations and Seminarians aids in the discernment process of those who are interested in a vocation to the priesthood as well as those who have already entered a formation program. If you think you might have a vocation to the priesthood, see FAQ: Am I Called to Priesthood? If you would like to talk with someone about becoming a priest, contact Father Jeff Hebert at (501) 664-0340.

Seminarian Directory

The diocese has 26 seminarians, who not only come from Arkansas, but from Texas, Tennessee, Mexico and Vietnam as well. Most of these seminarians have been living in Arkansas for many years, but some are here in the United States for the first time. Our seminarians begin at the House of Formation and conclude at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in St. Meinrad, Indiana. Their formation also includes serving in a variety of ways in Catholic parishes and ministries across Arkansas to prepare them for priesthood in our diocese. | FAQ: Am I Called to Priesthood?

Support Seminarian Education

God is answering our prayers. He is calling men to the priesthood and they are listening. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor has ordained 55 diocesan priests in the past 18 years. This includes five in 2026. With the increases in cost and seminarians, we need your help to form our future priests. Support our seminarians by making an online donation now. | Diocese of Little Rock Socks

Pray for Vocations and Seminarians

All are invited to pray the Diocesan Prayer for Vocations to help more men hear the Lord's call to priesthood. Or join the Mothers of Major and Minor Seminarians Prayer Watch (MOMMS) to pray for our seminarians and their intentions every day. Participants are asked to pick a day each week to pray for "whatever the young men need that day.” For more information about the MOMMS prayer group, contact us.

House of Formation

The House of Formation gives seminarians and discerners a place to live and become acquainted with the four dimensions of priestly formation — human, spiritual, pastoral and intellectual — as they seek the will of God for their lives. Discerners are men who have not yet become seminarians but live and study alongside seminarians in the House of Formation.
