The Brothers and Sisters of Charity at Little Portion Hermitage and Monastery is a public association of the faithful and integrated community of celibate monks, sisters, singles who can marry and have families, with a domestic expression of laity and clergy who live in their own homes throughout the world. They also integrate the solitude of the hermitage and community, contemplative community and apostolic action, the charismatic and contemplative, liturgical and spontaneous spirituality. They live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and engage in a wide variety of ministries according to their gifts and the needs of the Church. They also operate St. Clare Monastery in Houston, Texas. Association of the Faithful

An association of the faithful is a group of the Christian faithful who unite in a common effort: (a.) to foster a more perfect life, to promote public worship or Christian doctrine, or (b.) to exercise other works of the apostolate such as initiatives of evangelization, works of piety or charity, and those which transform the secular world through the workings of a Christian spirit. An association of the faithful may be composed of clerics, lay persons, or clerics and lay persons together and such associations are distinct from institutes of consecrated life and societies of apostolic life.
