The 32nd annual Life Chain Sunday will be held Oct. 6. It is always held on the first Sunday of October during Respect Life Month. Life Chain brings people together in a "peaceful and prayerful public witness" to form a line on sidewalks in cities across the United States and Canada to end abortion. More than 1,500 cities are expected to participate.

Participants hold signs that say: "Pray to End Abortion" or "Adoption: The Loving Option" while they quietly pray together for up to 90 minutes as cars pass by. On the back of the Life Chain signs are suggestions for prayer, meditation and songs that can be used during the event. "Idle chatter, frivolity and both verbal and physical responses to motorists are strongly discouraged."

Several cities in Arkansas will host a Life Chain this year. Visit lifechain.net to find a Life Chain in your area. Each event listed includes the time and contact information. To learn more, contact Rebecca Hartman, Arkansas director of Life Chain, at (479) 300-3125 or rebeckbeck46@gmail.com.
