I propose this prayer for our nation and the mankind to invoke God's mercy. I hope all faithful in our diocese and our nation would use this prayer as the collective and individual endeavors along with our individual sacrifices: THE PRAYER FOR THE PANDEMIC IN THE WORLD. Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, we give you thanks for your grace, our existence and sustenance. We beseech you, Father, to forgive us our sins and the sins of the world. We are aware of death being the wages of sins; however, we ask for your mMercy on mankind, who continuously disregard your warnings. We know that we deserve this destructive outcome as a consequence of our disobedience. Our relentless pursuit of temporal things while neglecting spiritual life is detestable. Heavenly Father, by the Holy Spirit, we beseech you to grant us spiritual strength to repent from our sins and accept the current challenges for the benefit of our souls and our salvation. Long ago, you forgave and saved the grievously sinful people in Nineveh city after their atonement and now with our repentance we beg your mercy saving the mankind from this corona pandemic. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
