After an overwhelming response, Arkansas Catholic has added a second pilgrimage to Greece in 2027 to accommodate more pilgrims. Father William Burmester, pastor of St. Edward Church in Texarkana and its missions in Foreman and Ashdown, will lead a 12-day pilgrimage to Greece and ancient Ephesus Sept. 27 to Oct. 8, 2027.
Pilgrims will visit Philippi, where St. Paul baptized Lydia, Europe’s first Christian; Athens, where St. Paul preached at the Areopagus; Corinth, where St. Paul lived and wrote; and Ephesus, where St. John wrote the Gospel and St. Mary spent her final years.
A $50 discount is available for those who book by Oct. 28, 2026. Register online or download the brochure at arkansas-catholic/pilgrimage. For more information, contact Kathy Primm of Sue Smith Vacations at (501) 771-0987 or kathy@suesmithvacations.com.
