2025-26 formation days on evangelization

The 2025-26 Parish Catechist Formation Day will focus on learning how to grow as "Missionary Disciples through Evangelizing Catechesis" employing the method of evangelizing catechesis from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Institute on the Catechism.

This event will be held in five parishes across the Diocese of Little Rock from September to May. It offers training to catechists, youth ministers, Christian initiation coordinators and other faith formation leaders in parishes and schools.

Participants may attend the location of their choice in English or Spanish. Advance registration is required at one of the following:

• Sept. 20 — St. John Church, Russellville. Deadline to register is Sept. 8.
• Nov. 15 — St. Paul the Apostle Church, Pocahontas. Deadline to register is Nov. 3.
• Jan. 17, 2026 — St. Stephen Church, Bentonville. Deadline to register is Jan. 5.
• March 14, 2026 — Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Magnolia. Deadline to register is March 2.
• May 9, 2026 — St. Jude the Apostle Church, Jacksonville. Deadline to register is April 27.

The cost is $20 per person to help cover lunch and speaker stipends. Registration is payable by cash or check to the Diocese of Little Rock or by registering online. The day will begin with check-in at 8 a.m. and finish with Mass at 4 p.m. (Mass times vary by location.)
