All are welcome to the Serra Club of Central Arkansas First Friday Vocations Mass and coffee talk with a guest speaker. Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. in the Morris Hall chapel at St. John Catholic Center, 2500 N. Tyler St. in Little Rock, with coffee talk afterward.

Serra's mission is to promote new priesthood and religious vocations as well as support and affirm existing vocations, and in doing so to grow in our own holiness. Serra is the only lay Catholic apostolate officially aggregated to the Vatican, which means we are part of and under the direction of the Vatican. At all times a cardinal is assigned to Serra for oversight and direction. There are about 200 Serra clubs in the U.S. with about 8,000 members. Serra clubs work with and for the bishop and his vocation director to foster and promote religious vocations. The Serra organization began in 1935 in Seattle, Wash., and has spread to more than 400 clubs in 46 countries with more than 13,000 members worldwide.
