Formed is a Catholic streaming service created by the Augustine Institute to offer faithful, Catholic content that is accessible to subscribers on demand. More than 1.6 million people and 5,000 parishes in 180 dioceses subscribe to Formed. | Download Formed app
Jeff Hines, diocesan director of faith formation, said formed.org offers a variety of resources including Bible and other group studies, sacramental preparation materials, Catholic movies, audiobooks and videos for children, teens and adults. "With content in Spanish and English, parishes of all sizes can reach their people more easily in the work of lifelong faith formation."
"Most tools for parishes today are often limited to reach only those members of the parish who are highly engaged and physically present ..., but effective faith formation must go beyond that," according to Formed. Making these materials easily accessible may help parishes "engage those who may be disengaged from the parish and help draw them into the community."
Subscriptions are available for parishes and individuals. New content is posted daily for mobile and desktop devices as well as the most commonly used television apps.
