Bishop releases pastoral changes March 17

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announced the following pastoral appointments March 17, 2020, for the Diocese of Little Rock:

Effective Feb. 24:

  • Rev. Arokiasamy Madhichetty Irudayaraj, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of Good Shepherd Church in Fordyce. He remains pastor of St. Mary Church in Arkadelphia, and St. John the Baptist in Malvern.
  • Rev. Joseph Marconi, appointed pastor of Good Shepherd Church in Fordyce. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as pastor of St. Joseph Church in Pine Bluff, Holy Cross Church in Sheridan, and St. Mary Church in Plum Bayou.
  • Rev. Shaun Wesley, relieved of Spanish language ministry at St. James Church in Searcy. He remains pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carlisle, and Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in Slovak.

Effective March 24:

  • Rev. Alfhones Perikala appointed pastor of St. Peter Church in Wynne, and St. Mary Church in McCrory. He is relieved of his responsibilities as administrator of St. John the Evangelist Church in Huntsville and associate pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish in Fayetteville.
  • Rev. Balaraju Desam appointed pastor of St. Edward Church in Texarkana, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Ashdown and Sacred Heart Church in Foreman. He is relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Peter Church in Wynne and St. Mary Church in McCrory.
  • Rev. Jason Tyler, STL, appointed pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church in Huntsville. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as pastor of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville and Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Lincoln.
  • Rev. Jules Norbert Njopmo appointed associate pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church in Huntsville. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville and Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Lincoln.
  • Rev. Jayaraju Sure appointed associate pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church in Huntsville. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville and Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Lincoln.
