Parish catechists, youth ministers, RCIA coordinators and other leaders are invited to attend an upcoming Formation Day focusing on the theme "The Love of Christ Impels Us." Jeff Hines, director of faith formation, described this daylong event as an opportunity to learn "how to live out our vocation to share Christ with others in our parishes, communities and families."
This is the second year the Faith Formation Office has hosted Formation Days, which has become the annual training program for those who teach religious education in the Diocese of Little Rock.
Last fall, the program began by studying, "The Mystery of the Eucharist in the Life of the Church," the 2021 document released by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) outlining the goals of the National Eucharistic Revival going on now through 2025.
Formation Days will be held in six parishes across Arkansas from September to May in English and Spanish. Participants may register online or via email to Jasmine Hogan for the location of their choice at one of the following parishes:
Each Formation Day will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include presentations from priests, deacons, ordained religious and qualified catechists with small group discussion, lunch and Mass.
