Catholic Charities of Arkansas relies on income from a number of sources to run its programs. No one single source of income amounts to more than 10 percent of total operating costs. Consequently, there are many ways to help. The following lists several ways to support the work of Catholic Charities if you prefer to donate by mail, through your parish or in other ways. These are not listed in order of importance.

Help Afghan Refugees

Donate online to help provide housing, clothing, health care, school supplies and food to Afghan refugees resettling in Arkansas. Select "Refugee Resettlement" in the drop down menu under "I would like my donation to benefit the following program/ministry." You can make a one-time gift or a weekly, bimonthly or monthly donation. For more information, contact Catholic Charities of Arkansas, at (501) 664-0340.

Blue Envelope Campaign

Each summer Arkansas Catholic subscribers find this “Blue Envelope” inserted in a June issue. Donors simply need to follow the instructions on the envelope to provide a direct donation. Subscribe to Arkansas Catholic to receive this envelope each year.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is a special collection that is taken up in parishes nationwide each November. A portion of the money taken up in Arkansas is used by the Social Action Office to support the CCHD local grant program. Pregnancy resource centers, food pantries, prison ministries and homeless outreach programs are just some of the programs that benefit from local grants. To find out when to give to this collection in your parish, visit our Special Collection Calendar.

Disaster Relief Fund

The Diocese of Little Rock needs donations for its Disaster Relief Fund to help victims and their families on the long road to recovery following a natural disaster. Disaster relief funds are provided to the parishes as needed to meet local disaster needs, and to administer disaster relief efforts and meet the pastoral needs of the diocese. When donating online use the drop down menu provided to select "Disaster Response" for your donation.

St. Nicholas Partners Appeal

The St. Nicholas Partners Appeal is an annual Advent campaign that allows donors to give to specific programs operated by Catholic Charities of Arkansas. Donors may also contribute on behalf of others as a Christmas gift. Each year, a special St. Nicholas Christmas card is created for the appeal. Past donors receive the card directly from Catholic Charities allowing them to donate again. The card is also inserted into an Advent issue of Arkansas Catholic allowing subscribers to contribute. Others may also receive a card or donate via credit card upon request. To learn more, visit the St. Nicholas page.

Catholic Adoption Services Christmas Card

Each year, Catholic Adoption Services mails a specially designed Christmas card to past donors to support the work of this ministry. To be put on this mailing list or mail a donation any time of year, please contact Catholic Adoption Services.

To participate in this program, pick up a rice bowl in your parish before Lent begins. To learn more, visit CRS Rice Bowl.

Lower Application Fees for Immigrants
