Life Chain is held on Respect Life Sunday, which is always the first Sunday of Respect Life Month. This year it is Oct. 6. During a Life Chain, people gather together in a "peaceful and prayerful public witness" to form a line on sidewalks in 1,500 cities across the United States and Canada. Participants pray and meditate for one hour to promote pro-life issues. In Arkansas, Life Chains are planned in Benton, Berryville, Conway, Fayetteville, Flippen, Gravette, Green Forrest, Harrison, Highland, Hot Springs, Little Rock, Marshall, Mountain Home, Paris, Pocahontas, Rogers, Siloam Springs and Yellville.
