Disaster Relief Fund

The Disaster Preparedness and Response Program is a ministry of Catholic Charities of Arkansas. It helps people prepare for emergencies and natural disasters and helps victims and communities devastated by natural disasters in Arkansas through the long process of recovery. Specifically it offers training to prepare for emergencies and long-term recovery services.

Training to Prepare for Emergencies

Disaster preparation classes are presented upon request to parishes and schools. Topics covered include: types of likely disasters, contingency planning for response, contents of a family disaster response kit and insurance. For more information or to request a class in your area, contact Megan Moore, office administrator for Catholic Charities of Arkansas, at (501) 664-0340, ext. 379.


Long-Term Recovery Services

Provides relief and recovery services as well as training for parish teams, including volunteer case managers, to help victims and communities devastated by natural disasters in Arkansas on a long-term basis. If you would like to help those affected by a natural disaster in Arkansas, please give to our Disaster Relief Fund.
