Búsqueda
The fundamental objective of Búsqueda is to awaken in youth the aspiration to be messengers of the Good News of Christ to others. It is a method, used by other movements of the Catholic Church, to guide a young person to a maturity, a Christian human growth, an understanding of himself/herself and his/her relationship with others and God.
The next Búsqueda will be April 18-20. Download the Búsqueda team application (PDF file) or Búsqueda registration form (PDF file).
Encounters of Youth Promotion
The movement "Encuentros de Promoción Juvenil" (Encounters of Youth Promotion) is an international private association of the Christian faithful officially recognized by Rome for the evangelization of youth. It makes possible to youth the living-out and mutual sharing of what is fundamental for being a Christian.
It helps Christian youth to fully realize their vocation, their leadership and their personality, and it creates a nuclei of youngsters who will engage in leavening their environments with the Gospel. See brochure for more information (PDF file). Encuentros de Promoción Juvenil celebrated its 10th anniversary in the Diocese of Little Rock in July 2007.
Encuentros de Promoción Juvenil #15 will be May 22-25 for women and May 29-June 1 for men. Download the EPJ team application (PDF file), sponsor application (PDF file) or candidate application (PDF file).
Encuentro Hispano
This year it will be held Nov. 10 at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds in Little Rock. Featured speaker Father Tom Stehlik, CM, will deliver a presentation on the topic "Why Catholic?" The daylong event also includes workshops, Mass, music, a talent show, health fair, art festival and vendor booths. Also the General Consulate of Guatemala will offer services during Encuentro and on Nov. 11. For more information, download the poster. (PDF file)
Fostering Latino Leadership in Church and Society
This workshop provides intensive training in the use of the curriculum, “Power to Serve: Latino Leadership in Church and Society,” developed by the National Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry (NCCHM). Based on extensive research, its goal is to nurture Hispanic leaders within their faith-based cultural context.
