2 Ladies Auxiliary Day of Recollection
Immaculate Conception Church, Fort Smith
To be held in the Msgr. William E. Galvin Parish Center. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Father Shaun Wesley of Eureka Springs will begin his talks promptly at 9 a.m. Mass will be held at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and closing remarks.
3 Adoration on Wednesdays During Lent
The Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday during Lent to pray for Bishop Anthony B. Taylor, priests in the Arkansas, the Diocese of Little Rock and the Catholic Church. This includes Feb. 24, March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Catholics are invited to sign up to pray for at least one hour each Wednesday. Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call the Cathedral office at (501) 374-2794.

5 Fish Fry
Assumption Church, Atkins
The meal will include french fries, slaw, hushpuppies, drink and dessert from 5-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free for children 5 and younger.
6 Carmelite Seculars of Little Rock Lenten Day of Recollection
Cathedral of St. Andrew, Little Rock
The Carmelite Seculars of Little Rock will host the event with the Carmelite priests beginning at 10 a.m. with Mass, Liturgy of the Hours and reflection. Registration will take place at 11:30 a.m. in McDonald Hall, followed by a light lunch and a talk by Father John Michael Payne, OCD, on St. Teresa of Avila. The day should conclude around 2:30 p.m. after exposition and Benediction. The $15 registration fee includes lunch. For more information, call Tricia Cromwell at (501) 666-9449.
6 Married Couples Date Night
St. John Catholic Center, Little Rock
This free event will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Fitzgerald Hall. The 2008 Christian movie “Fireproof” will be shown. Babysitting will be available. 6 Women’s Day of Recollection
Immaculate Conception Church, North Little Rock
The Catholic Daughters of Arkansas State Court will offer this event in Immaculata Hall. Phyllis Hemann will present “Sacred Living: Prayer and the Sanctity of Life”. All women are invited to attend. After 8 a.m. Mass, the day will begin at 8:45 a.m. and last until 2:15 p.m. The cost is $15, which includes breakfast, lunch and a Sanctity of Life Chaplet. 6 St. Edward’s Christian Mother’s Sodality Meeting
St. Edward Church, Little Rock
This the first meeting of 2010 will be held after the 9 a.m. Mass. Mass will be celebrated by pastor Father Jason Tyler. Installation of new officers will take place following Mass. 7 100th annual Spaghetti Dinner
Our Lady of the Lake Church, Lake Village
It will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the parish hall. The menu will feature homemade spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and drink. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. Carryouts are available from 8 to 11 a.m.
7-11 10th Anniversary of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Event
Our Lady of Fatima Church, Benton
On March 8 at 6:30 p.m. Father Matt Garrison, rector of the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock, will give a witness talk on eucharistic adoration and his priesthood. On March 9 at 6:30 p.m. a "priest rosary" will be prayed for every priest in the diocese. On March 10 at 6:30 p.m. a Mass followed by witness talks, holy hour and Benediction will be held. On March 11 at 6 p.m. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will celebrate Mass. A reception and light meal will follow in the parish hall. Contact the church office at (501) 315-5186 for more information.
9 Lenten Evening of Reflection
Mount St. Mary Academy, Little Rock
Featured speaker, MSM president Sister Deborah Troillett, RSM, will share from her own experiences and will lead the reflection about striking a balance between our relationship with God and the world in which we live. The event is for all alumnae, mothers of students and female friends. The theme this year is “A Spiritual Journey: Keeping Our Spiritual Balance.” The free evening will begin with a light supper at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria followed by a 6 p.m. reflection.
