Diocesan Administrator: Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert
Administrative Assistant: Jan Brass

Pope Benedict XVI named Father Anthony B. Taylor of Oklahoma City the seventh bishop of the Diocese of Little Rock April 10. Bishop-Elect Taylor, 53, is from the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.

He will be ordained and installed as head of the diocese on June 5 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Msgr. Hebert will continue to serve as diocesan administrator until that time. To learn more about our new bishop, go to the new bishop page.

Msgr. Hebert has led the diocese since he was elected administrator in June 2006. The diocese has been without a bishop since Bishop J. Peter Sartain was appointed to the Diocese of Joliet, Ill. in May 2006. Bishop Andrew J. McDonald retired in 2000 after serving as head of the diocese for 28 years.
