Ad Limina Visit 2012
Bishop Anthony B. Taylor met with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican during his "ad limina" visit March 16. Arkansas seminarian Deacon Andrew Hart joined Bishop Taylor in greeting the Holy Father. Hart, who will be ordained in July, is studying at North American College in Rome. The bishop gave the pope a spiritual bouquet, listing prayers, devotional acts and good deeds offered for the Holy Father's intentions. The bouquet was gathered by Arkansas Catholic from Catholics across the state. Bishop Taylor's trip ended March 21. He was joined by the bishops of Texas and Oklahoma that make up Region X. U.S. bishops have been making these visits since last fall. Bishop Taylor and his fellow bishops discussed a wide range of pastoral matters with the pope and Vatican officials.
